For two days, September 15 and 16, Russin, a Swiss wine village outside Geneva, says “goodbye” to summer and celebrates harvest season. The event is called Harvest Festival and offers lots of fun – music entertainment, delicious food and dancing. The festival’s roots go back to the year 1963. As time passed, the event grew more and more popular, and now it involves almost half of the village population. The fundamental part of the festival is food and wine tasting. You will definitely enjoy local wine, Chasselas and an AOC Gamay, produced of local grapes. The event will start with a procession for children (Saturday), and Sunday is the Market Day, when farmers bring and sell their products at the festival. Last year the festival was closed with a great ball at Chez Marguerite.
