Lots of festive events are waiting for you in Geneva not only before the New Year’s Eve, but also after it. One of such events is the International Christmas Tree Festival that makes the city especially beautiful and attractive for tourists. Till January 7, there are 23 beautiful art installations found throughout the city, all of which reflect the Christmas theme and especially the rituals connected with the trees. Works are created by famous artists, who do their best to make their masterpieces as original and beautiful as they can. Some shape the trees, or make special decorations, others use more elaborate methods, such as making some changes with the pine needles. For instance, the previous works included an installation by Yann Kersalé who projected lights on the Rousseau Island tress. Another work by Marc Aurel presented triangle of five-metre (16ft) high mirrored walls around three Italian poplars in the Mon Repos park.
