Like any other European city, Geneva offers an excellent Christmas market during the season, which is opened till December 24th. What is special about the Geneva market is that lots of handmade things are sold there by the craftsmen. By the way, not only the locally made knickknacks, but also international pieces of art and decorations are sold here, that is why the market called an international one. The market is located right in the city centre, on the Place de la Fusterie, which makes it even more attractive as after visiting the venue, you can stroll along the whole shopping area, visit jeweler’s and nice cafes. The places that are really worth visiting here are the Confederation Centre shopping mall in the Rue de la Confédération and excellent Mövenpick cafeterias. The market is opened 9 am – 6 pm and is situated only a five minutes' walk from Cornavin station.
