Till October 29, you can visit an exhibition by the German painter Georg Baselitz at the Fondation de l’Hermitage. Georg Baselitz is a contemporary artist who created a large number of drawings, oil paintings, prints and sculptures. The exhibition presents about a hundred works from his private collection and helps you to get the closer view of his vivid masterpieces. The artist is known for his Neo-Expressionist works that are focused on deformation, expressive colours and the force of matter, as well as for his upside-down paintings that are in fact concentrated on their formal structure, while the subject matter is less important. Exhibition at the Fondation de l’Hermitage presents the artist’s works from the 1960 – 2005 period, highlighting the stages of his career with their main topics. It will help you penetrate into the stages of picture creating and get a fascinating painting lesson. The exposition is opened Tuesdays to Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm, Thursdays from 10 am to 9 pm.
