August 25 – September 14 Geneva will be visited by a famous Knie family with their Swiss National Circus Knie, which will gladden visitors with it’s excellent performances for three weeks. Founded in 1803 when Friedrich joined an art rider troop, this 200-year old circus is still one of the most famous and visited around Europe and the whole world as well. This year the Circus presents two new stars to the audience: Swiss comedy-duo Ursus & Nadeschkin, known for their clever and hilariously cheeky humour. The programme will be expanded with top international artists, the seal show specially for children and more. And, of course, you will definitely like the performances by the members of the Knie family themselves, which includes performances by Franco Knie and his son Franco Jun with their elephants, Géraldine Katharina Knie and her father Fredy Knie Jun, and Mary José Knie. The performances will take place at Geneva's Plaine de Plainpalais.
