Today is the first day for one of the major summer events in Geneva – Fetes de Geneva, or simply Geneva Festival. Despite being a small city, Geneva has a lot to offer to it’s visitors, so be prepared to have fun. Everyone will find something for himself, as the programme is various: there will be more than 160 free shows and concerts, the 'Caravan du Monde' and the 15 countries that comprise it, the culinary specialities from 32 countries, the artisans and the fun fair. Also, do not miss the lake parade with fantastic floats, a techno night, a dancing parade and much more. Fetes de Geneve was preceded by a Pre-festival (from July, 20), and the festival itself will be opened at 8.30 p.m. on the Grand Casino stage. For the fireworks set to music on 12 August, tickets are for sale directly at the ticket counters of Fnac Suisse.
