Until September, 3 visit an exhibition “Picasso, the man of a thousand masks” at the Museu Barbier-Mueller d'Art Precolombí (the Barbier-Mueller Museum). The museum is located in the Old Town of Geneva and was actually founded to preserve the collection by Josef Mueller, which now contains over 7,000 exhibits, from articles from Tribal and Classical Antiquity to works created by the "primitive" civilisations around the world. The reason why the Picasso exhibition was organized in this museum is his well-known interest in ancient and colonial culture. This is in fact rather an atypical exposition as here you will be able to see the works of the famous avant-garde artist along with sculptures by tribal masters from the Ancient Mediterranean and Pre-Columbian cultures. Do not miss the chance to view famous works by Picasso as well as various historical artifacts that cannot be found elsewhere.
