Temperature in the Switzerland is very cold, with thermometers in some parts of the country dipping down to minus 29 degrees Celsius. Nevertheless, meteorologists say that it is not unusual for the mercury to drop this low during the month of March and that last year had even colder temperatures. Monday, most of Switzerland’s cities suffered sub-freezing temperatures, with the exception of Geneva where it was about zero, the city of Sion in the canton of Valais where it was +3, and towns in the Italian-speaking part of the country where it might already feel more like spring.
